am a University of Toronto faculty member subletting my very nice, fully furnished apartment while I am away for an extended summer trip. The apartment is immediately adjacent to the north side of the University of Toronto’s St. George campus, in the lively and highly desirable Annex neighbourhood. It is one block north of Bloor Street and about a 10-minute walk from Robarts Library. The apartment occupies two levels of a handsome converted residential house with six other apartments—it is not a high-rise. The main living space is at ground level, set back from the street behind a gate, while the bedroom and ensuite bathroom are on the quiet lower level. Despite its central downtown location, the apartment is remarkably peaceful. The space has considerable character, with original wood floors, exposed brick, 10-foot ceilings, and crown moulding. It is artfully but simply decorated and fully set up for comfortable day-to-day living. The kitchen is completely equipped for cooking, and household necessities are provided, including linens, towels, cleaning supplies, and basic toiletries. You can arrive with your suitcase and settle in for the summer. The apartment is particularly well suited to a visiting scholar, professor on sabbatical, or other academic spending the summer in Toronto. A large library table provides an excellent space for reading and scholarly work, and a PC and printer are also available. Wireless high-speed Internet is included. The apartment also has in-unit laundry, and all utilities are included. The unit is non-smoking and no pets are permitted. The rental period is April 1–August 31, 2027. Please note that the full five-month rental period is required. You are, of course, welcome to occupy the apartment for only part of that time, if your travel or research schedule requires, but the sublet agreement and rent will cover the full five months. This is a comfortable, quiet, character-filled home in one of Toronto’s best neighbourhoods, with the University, Bloor Street, cafés, restaurants, bookstores, transit, and everyday amenities all within easy walking distance.
