Do you want the conveniences and efficiencies of a new home, with the charm of a heritage house? Look no further! This 1913 character home was renovated head to toe in 2017, from the electrical/plumbing/insulation inside the walls to the granite countertops. The main floor suite boasts two bedrooms, a giant brand new kitchen, and restored character finishings such as the original window trims and a unique built-in cabinet from 1913. New stainless steel appliances set off the granite countertops, and brand new windows flood the suite with light without drowning you in utility bills. Beautiful stone and ceramic tile enclose a new deep-soaker tub, his & her sinks, and plenty of storage space complete the bathroom. In-suite laundry with front-loading washer and dryer makes washing clothes a breeze. The house has a large amount of outdoor space, with a fully-fenced, shared back yard for gardening and grilling, and a shared back porch for lounging. The house is ideally placed in Ramsay, on a quaint street of historical homes only a 5-minute walk to the shops, cafes, restaurants, and galleries of Inglewood’s 9 Ave SE. The Crossroads Farmers' Market is also a brief walk away. There are great transit links to downtown, and soon a C-Train stop on the Green Line will be a 3-minute walk away! Ramsay is one of the oldest neighborhood's in Calgary and one of the most vibrant. Residents are very friendly and a stroll through the community can be an activity in itself. Grab a coffee at Caffe Rosso, brunch at Red's, household necessities at the Alberta Corner Store, draw on the neighborhood chalkboard, or amble through the ARTPOINT gallery. Ramsay is also a stone’s throw from the new Rogers Centre formally Saddle dome, Stampede grounds, Elbow and Bow rivers, and the flourishing East Village with its National Music Centre and Simmons Building.
