I have one bedroom available for rent in my home, which I share with my sister and dog. I’m a teacher and she’s a law student. We’re both social, active, and easy-going people who enjoy having a home that feels welcoming and lived-in. We like spending time together, having friends over, cooking meals, hanging out in the backyard, and enjoying the occasional dinner or get-together. We’re social, but not big partiers, and we value having a home that is relaxed, respectful, and low-drama. More than just a roommate, we’d love to welcome someone into our home and hopefully into our lives as well. Ideally, our new roommate would become a friend: someone we can share a meal with, hang out with, or simply enjoy living alongside while still having our own space and independence. The Room & Home: - Medium-large unfurnished private bedroom on the lower bedroom level with a large above-ground window - Full bathroom with a stand-up shower right beside the bedroom (primarily yours, but shared) - Upstairs full bathroom primarily used by my sister and self - Fully stocked kitchen with dishwasher, deep freeze, second fridge, and BBQ - Shared living room with large sectional and TV - Downstairs den/hangout space - Large backyard with space to relax or work on projects - In-suite laundry - Plenty of street parking You’re welcome to use the shared appliances and spaces. Pets: We’re open to the right tenant with a dog or cat. I have a friendly, energetic German Shepherd/Husky named Echo who is mostly well-mannered. Our yard is great for dogs, and there’s an off-leash walking area about two blocks away. From there, it’s roughly a 20-minute walk to a larger off-leash dog park and ravine. Echo has also lived with a cat successfully, although she can be a little enthusiastic during play. Commute: Convenient access to Calgary Trail, Gateway, Anthony Henday 106 bike lane connected to the neighbourhood Neighbourhood bus stops: 400m to community route bus that has service every 30 minutes and ~12-minute travel time to Century Park. 600m-1km (~10-15-minute walk) to 23rd Ave, with frequent buses to Century Park and South Edmonton Common ~30-minute walk to Century Park LRT Plenty of street parking Rent & Availability: $900/month, with includes utilities and internet. Your only additional bill should be tenant insurance. Rent is negotiable. Damage deposit is $900. Room is available now, but does not need to be occupied right away. I prefer a longer lease, but am open to less than 1 year. Please text or We left the home as-is for the photos so you can get a realistic sense of how we live. The bedroom and bathroom will be cleaned thoroughly before move-in.
