I am looking for one person to sublet a bachelor/studio area for four months. I am a PhD scholar and TA at UofT and I am currently writing my thesis. I am also active in the volunteer circle in the City, and a great conversationalist. I am also an avid reader, a hobbyist photographer, and a storyteller. I also dabble in cooking and baking, and like to cook at home. This space welcomes gender diverse folks , LGBTQ+ folks , and artists as well. Sublet period: October 15, 2026 to February 15, 2027 OR November 1, 2026 to February 15, 2027. Location: Near St. Clair West and Bathurst Street Type of space: A bachelor/studio area within a spacious one-bedroom apartment Suitable for: A student or young professional looking for temporary fall-winter accommodation Occupancy: One person only Preference: You must be cat-friendly. I am also looking for some one who can take care of my cat while I am gone for two months. We can accordingly negotiate the rent. Pictures of the space are attached. The apartment has three big windows that allow ample amount of sunlight to enter the studio/bachelor area. The windows face west, and brings in ample amount of sunlight in the afternoon/evening hours. The golden hour sunlight fills the apartment in the evening, and makes for a beautiful place to click pictures and do indoor photography if you are interested in creative arts. The apartment is located in a low-rise building in a culturally rich area of Toronto. The main characteristics are: Close to Line 1 and 512 St. Clair streetcar UofT is two (Spadina) or three (St George) subway stops in South Yorkdale Mall is five subway stops in North Yonge & St. Clair, and Yonge & Eglinton are easily accessible by public transit The studio area includes: A work-from-home setup with - Desk, Chair, Two monitors, and Free WiFi A large closet for clothing and additional storage The studio is currently unfurnished and can be furnished with a bedding/mattress upon request. If you can bring your own bed/mattress, that will be great. I am open to discussion. The following areas will be shared: Kitchen Dining area Bathroom The kitchen is fully functional, and you may use the pots, pans, cutlery, and ladles and other kitchen utensils Laundry is available in the building’s basement on a pay-per-use basis. Living Arrangement I will occupy the apartment’s bedroom until December 15. I will leave for a two-month trip on December 15. You will occupy the bachelor/studio area throughout this period. I will only pass through part of the studio area when accessing the kitchen and dining area. You will have the apartment to yourself from December 15 until I return on February 15. The rent includes internet, water, and heat. Electricity/hydro will be handled as follows: Until December 15, we will split the electricity bill. After December 15, you will be responsible for paying the electricity bill. I am ideally looking for someone who can also take care of my cat while I am gone for two months. While I am away, you will be expected to feed her three times a day, clean and change her litter, provide general daily care, and treat her with kindness, patience, and empathy I am preferably looking for someone who genuinely cares about cats and animals in general.
