Are you looking for a piece of Muskoka history? Are you looking for an artistic and romantic escape? This one is very special! Originally built in 1900 as the Walker's Point United Church, this exceptional Lake Muskoka property offers a rare opportunity to own a piece of the region's history. Thoughtfully transformed into a warm and inviting relaxing waterfront retreat, the home balances its architectural heritage with the comfort and functionality of modern cottage living. Situated on 132 feet of pristine shoreline in Walkers Bay on the peninsula, the property enjoys beautiful views across Lake Muskoka and a setting that encourages a slower pace of life. Expansive waterfront decking and a generous dock create the perfect place to enjoy long summer days on the lake, while meandering walking trails wind through the property to a collection of peaceful seating areas, inviting quiet mornings, afternoon reading, or romantic evenings spent surrounded by nature. Inside, the former church has been reimagined into a welcoming living space filled with character. The luxurious primary suite occupies the lower level, creating a private retreat separate from the main gathering space. Above the main space is a loft, looking out to the beautiful water. The loft features a large storage closet and has room for a double bed for company to enjoy. A charming bunkie with a loft provides additional accommodations for family and guests. There is also another separate building at the water which has potential as a future lakeside sauna or wellness space. This property reflects history while offering an opportunity to enjoy the beauty of Muskoka in a home unlike any other. Whether shared with generations of family, enjoyed as a quiet escape from the city, or appreciated as a truly distinctive waterfront residence, this is a property where history, nature, and lake life come together on one of Canada's most iconic lakes. *Being offered fully furnished and can sleep up to 8 people.
