Escape to your own peaceful slice of waterfront paradise on South Bay! This charming 2-storey, 2-bedroom cottage sits on 2.7 private acres, offering the perfect blend of timeless cottage character, thoughtful updates and true off-grid living. Warm wood interiors and painted wood floors create a welcoming cottage feel, while the private, remote setting offers a true escape into nature. Manitowaning is just a 10-minute drive away. Remodelled in 1996 with the addition of the second storey, the cottage has continued to receive extensive updates. Recent improvements include a new metal roof, kitchen deck, upgraded upper deck supports and propane tank in 2025. In 2026, updates included new solar batteries and controller, water pump, solar refrigerator, propane stove, new south facing windows upstairs and downstairs, and fresh exterior paint on the cottage and bunkie. Comfortable off-grid living is made easy with solar power, propane backup lighting, a freestanding propane fireplace, propane heater upstairs and propane hot water on demand. The bunkie is currently used for storage and adds useful extra space. With the major updates already taken care of, you can simply arrive, settle in and enjoy cottage life — swimming, boating, relaxing by the water and making memories. Private, peaceful, updated and ready to enjoy, this South Bay retreat is the perfect place to unplug, unwind and embrace the cottage life you've been dreaming of! (id:374)
