Sitting on 4.3 acres in Sanca, about 25 to 30 minutes from downtown Creston, this 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom home is set in a mostly forested acreage right alongside Kootenay Lake. The cleared front portion is where the house sits, with the rest of the land backing into the trees and rising up the hillside behind it. The main living is on the upper floor and the layout is open from the moment you walk in. The living room, dining room, and kitchen all flow together under vaulted ceilings, anchored by a floor-to-ceiling brick fireplace with a gas insert. Large windows and french doors frame lake and mountain views throughout. The primary bedroom has a walk-in closet, a private ensuite, and its own deck access. The second bedroom is right next to it with the same. The lower level adds a lot of extra space. A large rec room with a pellet stove, foosball, and a bay window facing the lake connects through to a separate billiards room with a built-in bar. A bedroom, full bathroom, laundry room, and attached 2-car garage complete this floor. The upper deck has a covered gazebo, string lights, and glass railings with open lake views. A lower patio off the side has a vine-covered pergola for shaded outdoor dining. A separate cabin adds a bedroom, a full bathroom with corner shower, and its own living area. A red barn with a roll-up door handles the extra storage. And a public beach sits directly across the road, giving the whole property easy walking access to Kootenay Lake. (id:374)
