Quiet and peaceful oceanfront farmhouse with 9.6 acres of large grass lawn, conifers, and hayfields in the small fishing village of Pinkney's Point just a short drive from Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, and the Bar Harbor CAT ferry. The 1905 house was owned by the original family until the current owners bought it in 2017. It has a new roof, all new appliances including washer, dryer, huge gas stove, fridge, and dishwasher. There is a new flat screen TV as well as two new plush sofas and easy chair in the den. It has been completely refinished inside with fresh paint and beautifully stained wood floors. There is a new underground pipe from the well and new plumbing throughout the house. An Ultra-Violet light with pre-filter delivers clean, cold water to all the plumbing. A new Rheem hotwater tank is in the basement along with a new pump and pressure tank. Both bathrooms have been remodeled with a new shower, sink and vanity downstairs and new waterproof wallboard and flooring upstairs. There are three new electric fireplaces as well as baseboard heat and three 220-volt baseboard heaters ready to be installed. There is even an outside propane heater that has never been used for those chilly nights. No messy furnace or wood stove is needed. The downstairs bedroom has new king-size Wolf mattresses and custom wooden bed frame along with a commanding ocean view through a huge bay window. The bedroom also boasts new night tables and matching drawers. The house is being sold with all new furnishings which include a microwave, coffee maker, pots, pans, plates, and other utensils so the new owners can move in immediately. The indoor toolroom has a new electric saw, new drill, new whipper snipper, and other useful tools. In the large walk-in basement there is even a two-story aluminum ladder for do-it-your-selfers. Sunsets over the ocean and a spectacular view of Reef Island which is easily accessible at low tide. (id:374)
