Screen House by FNDA Architecture is now live online and will soon appear on international newsstands. As the story reveals, "The street elevation has no windows, an intentional inversion of the openness to landscape that characterizes so much West Coast Modernism." Built in 1961 in West Vancouver´s Ambleside and comprehensively reimagined by its architect-owner in 2006, this post-and-beam home reveals itself in stages, from a slate forecourt with a still reflecting pool and floating wood louvers to a fir-beamed interior that opens through floor-to-ceiling glass to towering evergreens. Read the full story online and discover why this award-winning renovation offers a defining chapter in West Coast Modern architecture. (id:374)
