Brindlewood Equine Centre covers 70 acres of fertile farm land within the City of Kawartha Lakes. Over the past 30 years we have had the privilege of operating a breeding farm of Canadian Sport Horses and a second business a successfully operating SoloHair Studio. The original home built from log in 1855 and its two additions have thoughtfully been restored and renovated throughout with hardwood flooring, fixtures and furnishings, new windows and doors which create a unique rural setting both indoors and out. Perennial gardens and seven acres of returf grass area for riding and schooling horses create a park like setting in which the house and barn (with its fifteen box stalls, tack room and two piece washroom) sit, allowing each day for a quiet and peaceful equine and human experience. Clients of the Hair Studio who have been with us for years still find new things happening throughout the seasons and every appointment allows them to share the peace and tranquility of this space we call our home. The barn has just had some restructuring and a new roof installed from damage caused in the wind storm of 2022 and is fully ready as a boarding facility for horses and their owners with fifteen tack cubbies, hot and cold water, two piece bathroom, washer, grooming areas indoor and with wet areas for bathing outdoors. 100' x 200' riding ring, jumps and base of outdoor ring was restructured and new sand in 2021. Three large paddocks (one 10 acres) and 10 acres of hay field allow for an easy operation from season to season and another income on the property. 30 acres in front are rented on a yearly bases to our neighbouring dairy operation at present but could easily be replanted with grass to create more hay for the equine operation or continue to rent out for another income on the property. The Hair Studio is a beautiful space with its own entrance and also open to the house and could continue as such or be refurbished for any spa related business for a continued income. This wonderful home and estate like property can provide a family with a home and lifestyle of their dreams and happiness which you feel the minute you first set your feet through the doorways, RELAXATION AND CALM. A business or corporate retreat would be a grand experience in the country with the Town of Lindsay a 5 minute drive away for shopping, restaurants, water ways and marinas for those who want to park a boat 3 minutes up the road. An urban couple looking to escape the city and live in the country working from home, could easily rent out most of the property for farming as a second income and enjoy the house and barn or turn it into a rental area for parties and weddings or corporate/business events. For the equestrians out there, this is a place you will find perfect for all your needs. We are hoping to find a buyer who will consider the price to include all the furnishings in the home as well as the farm equipment and tractor as well as our Ford Ranger truck. A full list of all items can be forwarded to anyone consider to present an offer on our property, as well as water samples from the 3 wells (all in working order), work orders for care of septic tanks for house and barn, new propane furnace 2022 and 3 propane fireplaces all serviced and update inspections, etc. Thank you for your time and consideration of Brindlewood Equine Centre.
